Right, so Lee Copus (the Kent carnivore) and I did a YouTube video called “Vegan Ignorance Is Bliss” where we had the audacity to point out some rather glaring inconsistencies in Ricky Gervais’s recent plant-based propaganda. Apparently, being funny doesn’t automatically make you nutritionally literate or scientifically accurate. Who knew?
Well, the comment section absolutely exploded with the usual suspects trotting out every tired vegan talking point known to mankind. We’re talking the greatest hits album here - arguments so well-worn they’ve developed a patina. But you know what? Let’s have a proper go at addressing them, because clearly someone needs to inject a bit of joined-up thinking into this conversation.
